Why I build directories
I'm a solo builder who believes directories are underrated. In a world of algorithmic feeds, there's something powerful about well-organized, human-curated collections.
A good directory is more than a list
I've spent years working on various web projects—SaaS apps, content sites, e-commerce stores. But I keep coming back to directories. There's something satisfying about organizing information in a way that helps people find exactly what they're looking for.
A good directory isn't just a list of links. It's a curated experience. It understands user intent. It surfaces the right information at the right time. And when done well, it becomes the default resource for an entire niche.
That's what I'm building. Not just websites, but destination resources that people actually want to use.
How we got here
The Beginning
Started exploring programmatic SEO and the power of structured data. Built my first directory as an experiment.
IndoorClimbingGym Launch
Launched the first major project. 7.5K URLs, comprehensive data, and a focus on SEO from day one.
Stackbase is Born
Formalized the service offering. Launched GolfSimMap. Started helping others build directories that rank.
How I work
Quality over Quantity
I don't take on every project. I focus on niches I understand and clients I can genuinely help.
Performance First
Slow sites don't rank. I use modern tools like Astro and Next.js to build directories that load instantly.
SEO is Strategy
I don't just build pretty sites—I build sites that rank. Best practices baked in from day one.
Honest Partnership
I won't promise you #1 rankings. What I will promise is solid work and transparent communication.
Not an agency
I'm not an agency. There's no account manager, no junior developer, no offshore team. When you work with me, you work with me. I handle everything from the initial conversation to the final deployment.
That means faster decisions, clearer communication, and a site that's actually built by the person you're talking to. It also means I can only take on a few projects at a time—which is exactly how I want it.

Let's build something together
If you have a niche in mind, I'd love to hear about it. Not every niche is right for a directory, and I'll tell you honestly if I think yours has potential or not.
